Zihuatanejo to Acapulco: Nimbus Claims Victory

The prestigious Club de Yates Acapulco annual race from Zihuatanejo to Acapulco saw fierce competition this year, with Greg Koski and Bruce Cooper aboard Nimbus, a Farr 40, securing a thrilling victory. According to Bruce, the race had a small fleet however the racing was tricky as there was a “challenging jump from onshore day breeze to night land ’terrell’ wind.
After a tense and strategic battle on the water, Nimbus crossed the finish line just 8 minutes ahead of the Swan 42 Vincitore, the boat they had been dicing with throughout the race.
Their outstanding performance earned them first place overall, as well as in their class and fleet, marking a remarkable achievement in this challenging race.
