On May 15, 2025, the sailing world marked 15 years since Jessica Watson sailed triumphantly into Sydney Harbour aboard Ella’s Pink Lady, completing her solo, non-stop, and unassisted circumnavigation of the globe at just 16 years old. Her 210-day voyage became one of the most celebrated achievements in modern sailing, and at the heart of her success was a trusted set of sails from Ullman Sails.

Jessica's voyage spanned more than 23,000 nautical miles, through the world’s most demanding oceans. She faced gale-force winds, 10-meter seas, and multiple knockdowns. Through it all, Ella’s Pink Lady stood strong.

Her arrival back in Sydney drew tens of thousands of supporters and worldwide media coverage. But beyond the cameras and headlines, her story of resilience and raw determination reshaped the image of solo sailing and inspired a generation of young sailors, especially women.

Ella’s Pink Lady was equipped with a full suite from Ullman Sails, built specifically for Jessica’s solo circumnavigation. We are honored to have been a part of such a historic adventure, one that continues to inspire our team and the global sailing community 15 years on.

Today, Ella’s Pink Lady is proudly displayed at the Queensland Maritime Museum. Visitors can step inside a replica of her cabin and get a first-hand look at what life was like aboard during those 210 days at sea, offering a unique perspective on Jessica’s achievement.

Since her return, Jessica has gone on to become a bestselling author, motivational speaker, and Order of Australia recipient. Most recently, her story was shared with new global audiences through the Netflix film True Spirit, based on her memoir of the same name. Jessica remains a role model to sailors, young girls, women, and adventurers around the world. Her remarkable spirit at just 15 and 16 years old continues to encourage others to go after their dreams.
