Sydney Harbour Regatta
Andrew York along with his crew competed in the Sydney Harbour Regatta on the REO 8.5
Here’s what Andrew had to say:

“The first four races of the regatta saw light winds ranging from 6 to 10 knots. Competing in Division 2, we posted consistent results with finishes of 7th, 4th, 4th, and 4th.
The conditions shifted for the final two races, with winds picking up to 15 to 25 knots. We made a strong comeback, securing two 1st place finishes and ultimately finishing 2nd in our class on IRC.
The first two photos capture the final leg of Race 5, where the breeze shifted and built to 20 knots. We executed a perfect gybe set and just managed to cross the finish line ahead of the Melges 32, the eventual regatta winner, who had to drop their kite. We also made significant gains on the Cape31.
In the final race, we rounded the last mark behind the Cape 31, setting our kite at the same time. With a fast and steady run, we managed to lead them across the line by over 200 meters (220 yards).”
Congratulations to Andrew and his team!
