2025 Tooheys Ultra Australian 16ft Skiff Sprint Championship

My team and I won the Australian 16ft Skiff Sprint Series. The series was contested by 58 boats divided into 4 pools of equal boats. Each pool races against each other in a 3-race series. Only the top 5 boats from each pool progress. So 20 boats in total progress, i.e. 5boats from each of the 4 x pools.

The top 20 boats progress to the semi-finals in 2 separate pools, each containing 10 boats in a 3 race format again. Top 5 from each semi-final progress to the final.

The final then has the best 10 boats in a best of 3 races. We managed to win the final with a 3,1,2 scorecard. The team is only the 3 skiff in history to achieve a back-to-back series win.

Our boat is called Insight Building Services / NAVS and runs full Ullman Sails setup built by Ullman Sails Lake Macquarie and designed by Bruce Hollis.
