World Ocean Day is an opportunity to celebrate that connection while recognising our collective responsibility to protect the oceans that make our sport possible.
This month, Ullman Sails is proud to highlight One Island One Ocean, a nonprofit organisation bringing together scientists, educators, conservationists and ocean advocates to better understand and protect our marine environment. Their work reminds us that the future of sailing is inseparable from the future of our oceans.

Long Beach Race Week Delivers Classic Conditions
Long Beach Race Week once again brought together some of the US West Coast’s most competitive sailors for three days of close racing and iconic Southern California conditions.
With steady sea breezes and tightly contested fleets, the regatta showcased the skill, preparation and teamwork that continue to define one of North America’s premier sailing events.
Ullman-powered teams were out in force, demonstrating strong performances across multiple classes while making the most of the reliable breeze Long Beach is famous for.

Performance Through Partnership
Great sailing isn't built on sails alone. For Ullman Sails France, a recent full sail delivery for a First 40 showed exactly what happens when sailmaking expertise and trusted hardware come together. Delivered under 40°C summer heat and completed on time, the project brought together a brand-new Ullman sail package with a Karver furler to give the owner a reliable, high-performance setup ready for the water.
From precision sail design to lightweight furling systems, every detail matters when preparing a boat for better days under sail. Karver's approach to innovative, dependable deck hardware complements Ullman's commitment to creating sails that perform across a wide range of conditions.
The result: one very happy customer, a refreshed First 40, and another reminder that strong partnerships help sailors spend less time worrying about equipment and more time enjoying the sail.

Continuing a Winning Legacy
Success on home waters is just the beginning.
Fresh off a standout victory aboard Nirvana, the team now turns its attention to the international stage as preparations continue for the upcoming 6 Metre World Championship in Geneva. Among the winning crew was Ullman Sails Solent loft manager Rob Larke, whose involvement reflects the deep connection between our global network and competitive sailing at the highest level.
The International 6 Metre class is renowned for combining timeless yacht design with exceptionally close racing, where preparation, teamwork and attention to detail make all the difference. It's a fitting platform for Ullman Sails, where craftsmanship and performance have always gone hand in hand.
