Who We Are
Where Scale Meets Precision
Ullman Sails South Africa is located in a 7,000 sqm high-capacity manufacturing facility in Cape Town and has strong working relations with South African boatyards. The loft houses a full-fledged cut-and-sew production floor and a dedicated canvas department, enabling us to craft the finest sails. This facility serves as the central production hub for the OEM yachting market.
The Ullman Sails network has a rich 58-year history in sailmaking, with 75 locations worldwide and a presence in over 25 countries, resulting in over 80,000 sails delivered globally.
In 2020, Ullman Sails centralised its One Design operations in Cape Town, supported by World
Sailing-certified measurers to ensure accuracy
and adherence to industry standards.
Ullman Sails South Africa leads the brand in technical expertise and global exports. The Cape Town facility has become the core Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) production site, delivering consistency and innovation to boat builders and sailors worldwide.
